i. The STS Certification Mark may be used only by parties to which Certificate of conformity to a management system standard has been awarded by STS.
ii. The STS Certification Mark may only be used for the duration of validity indicated on the
Certificate unless the certification is renewed for continuation.
iii. The STS Certification Mark shall only be used within locations and branches covered by the certification scope.
iv. The STS Certification Mark shall not be used in a manner which suggests that a particular
product or an activity or service outside the scope of certification, which has not been
certified by STS Certification. Hence does not imply that the certification applies to activities and sites that are outside the scope of certification.
v. The STS Certification Mark shall not be used in a manner that will bring discredit/ disrepute/lose public trust to STS or to the certification system
vi. The certified client shall be unambiguous when referring to the activity and entity which has been certified. It does not allow reference to its management system certification to be used in such a way as to imply that STS certifies a product (including service) or process.
vii. The certified client shall be required to review the use of the certification mark when the
scope of certification is reduced or change.
viii. The certified client shall immediately cease use of the Certification Mark and cease
distribution of materials bearing the Certification Mark on the following cases:
a. Upon being suspended or withdrawn by STS
b. Upon voluntarily relinquishing its certified status
c. Upon being given reasonably adequate notice by STS that there has been a change in the current Certification Mark. The certified client shall switch to the new Certification Mark within the time period mutually agreed upon with STS
ix. The STS Certification Mark may be used in promotional material such as letter heads, name cards, banners, etc subject to the approval of STS and provided that the scope of certification is clearly indicated alongside the Certification Mark.
The Certified client shall upon withdrawal of its certification, discontinue its use of all advertising matter that contains a reference to certification, as directed by STS and amends all advertising matter when the scope of certification has been reduced.
The Certified client shall conform to the requirements of the STS when making reference to its certification status in communication media such as internet, brochures or advertising or other documents.
x. The STS Certification Mark may strictly not be used on calibration reports or test reports
issued by the certified client in a manner which suggests that any product or equipment
has been certified by STS
xi. For the use of accreditation symbol, the certified client shall include :
a. its own name and/or logo;
b. mark of the accredited body must not be disproportionately represented with reference to the actual accreditation symbol, and position in a manner that ensures the relationship between the accreditation symbol and the mark of the STS is obvious.
xii. The Certified client shall
a. not make or permit any misleading statement regarding its certification;
b. not use or permit the use of a certification document or any part thereof in misleading manner.
